I am thinking about building a home wall. What types of holds are better for ceilings, vertical, etc?

I use little pieces of plywood screwed to the wall for my house traverse.

NICROS=BAD I would recommend Pusher, but Metolius has some cool holds too. As for starting, make sure you have plenty of t-nutz so that you can switch holds around and whatnot. I would say start big and easy and see what works.

You can get a pretty good deal on T Nuts from http://www.cheapholds.com/. They also have holds there, but I have not tried them.

I moved to the approprite category and also check out about 6-10 other threads in this forum. This area has pretty extensive conversations about building your own wall. This thread Really was not too expensive ( I have my own wall) and Cheap Holds are pretty cool. I have a bunch of them...Don't go with Pusher, I am not impressed, seem to break pretty easy (at least the Rails). The Russman [ This Message was edited by: russman on 2002-05-08 06:26 ]

Metolius is what I use. Both their holds and hangboards have always been trusty. Home walls are cheap compared to $10 bucks a pop at the gym.

My wall cost like two hundred, without the holds. And it's simple to pick holds for and overhang, only screw up what'll make it REALLY HARD, and push you good! I also bought the Crack from Cheep holds. Great piece but not deep enough! -Sean Edit: to remove a link no longer there [ This Message was edited by: djpuckle on 2002-06-08 12:30 ]
