I am finally going to add the finishing touches to my existing wall by including a section of my ceiling. The roof will be about 4 ft in width and 12 ft long. The joists run the length of it, so I have been toying with the idea of incorporating a crack that also runs the length. my question: Has anyone every tried this? I know there are multiple threads on homemade cracks, but any on the roof? Side note: I also am adding a section that starts under my basement stairs. I'll be putting in a kicker at the bottom and then it will follow the underside of the stairs to the roof. Measured from the kicker under the stairs to the other side of the roof it is a straight shot of about 20 ft . That will be adding some serious longer route potential. Oh yeah. A while back I promised to put pics up and never got around to it. I'll follow through soon.
