I'm building a woody with some friends and we're trying to find the best deal on bulk t-nuts. http://www.atomicholds.com/ seems like the best so far, were looking at buying 500, so 5 packs of of 100 for $8.00 a piece is the best deal I've found so far. I was wondering if anyone knows of a better deal. Thanks, Tom

I found the best price in bulk T-nuts and bolts though a fastener company, I believe Fastenal. Google fastener companies in your area.

Sweet, yeah it does seem like as long as the person to pound them did it right it wouldn't make to much of a difference . And well putting in the hold right.

Wow - I can't believe I have to kindly point out that I am the one doing the reading here. Top of that page - this is what it says "T-Nuts & Propell Nuts (1/4-20 Thread)" the 3/4" diameter is for the "flange" - the base part that goes against the wall. The barrel and flange height have nothing to do with anything. So no where on that page is the size 3/8 listed anywhere. 1/4 is the diameter and 20 are the threads per inch. Climbing t-nuts are 3/8 diameter and 16 threads per inch.

The spikes look like they would grab on to much less surface area, and it looks like it would be prone to spinning. Just look at the design... what exactly is going to hold the C nut to the plywood... pixie dust? Also... the shaft looks deeper than the other two. looks like maybe it's one inch? It looks like the shaft would just go right through the plywood, come out the other side, and not hold on to anything.

Don't know how long this special is going... Cheap Holds... 500 for $39. I've recently searched online and I haven't come across any cheaper. http://www.cheapholds.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CH&Product_Code=HWT500S&Category_Code=S

The cheap holds deal was the best I could find too, but I never got them after I ordered them. I waited 2 weeks and then contacted the company and they said they were no longer managing the site - gave me another person to email and I never heard back. My cc was never charged but I lost about 3 weeks. I ended up doing the 5 jugs and 500 t-nuts from synrock. I don't remember what it came out to but it was within 1 cent per nut of the best deal i could find at fastener stores and it came with free jugs that have turned out to be some of my favorite. It's a little different ordering from him - you basically just have to email and say what you want, but if I expand my wall when I move I would do it again.

CheapHolds.com is now operated by a new company. The previous poster had ordered before the transition, and the order was never processed. Orders for t-nuts are now normally shipped within a couple days, and holds are normally under 5 business days depending on brand.
