Appears most people around here like to make molds from clay, silcone caulk, or objects like plastic bottles. Once the mold has been made, fill it w/ bondo with sand mixed in.

One thing which one of my friends says works, but I'm not sure I believe him, is that you can "clone" holds. First, take a hold that you like, next put something that is soft but hardens around it (example, but I would NEVER use: liquid metal.) I suggest using clay. When it hardens, take the hold out. Finally pour something like BOndo household putty into the moold you have just made. When you are done: voila a hold shaped just like one from a professional company.

Note: this does not work too well with some jugs since they are rather difficult to remove from the hardened mold.

As I stated before, i have never tried this and am not sure if it works.

Try this with system panels or hangboards (without any large incuts) and sell off the ones you make.

Excellent! :D That is so cool. Thanks! I think it would be fun to start a hold exchange or something and anyone who makes them can trade holds with someone else who is tired of theirs.
