Going to Beaumont for Thanksgiving but wanted to try to get in at least one day at one of the Houston Gyms. I'm not familiar with what they have to offer, but I'm looking for something with substantial bouldering if at all possible. Thanks.

Hey Angela, Chung here. There are only 2 gyms in the Houston area both are the Texas Rock Gym. First one is in Houston off of I10 and Bunkerhill the other is in Clear Lake near Galveston, if you are looking for bouldering that's the one you want to go far. They will be close on Thanksgiving of course. I think the one in Houston will be closer. I'm not sure about the distance from Beaumont to Clear Lake but I thinks it's far. I'll look that up and get you that info by tomorrow. BTW are you still in Dallas or back in Austin.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I checked it out and from Beaumont to Houston or Clear Lake is going to be about 100 miles each way. The gym in Clear Lake will be the one with the most blouldering. Just look up Texax Rock Gym and you'll be able to find it. If you want some company let me know if you're going and I'll try to meet you out there. If not I hope this info helps and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Thanks. If I go, it'll be Sunday on my way back through Houston, and I'll probably go to the Memorial location since it's on the way. I'll PM you and let you know closer to Sunday. Have a great holiday.
