Just got back from a trip to New Jersey's newest gym, a second gravity vault which opened today in Chatham. I thought it was pretty good, large (for NJ), bright, open area with a spacious feel. No grades up on the climbs yet and I think they could have had a higher proportion of space dedicated to bouldering vs rope climbs but still good. Anyone else pay a visit?

i meant to head down. how much larger did they make the new bouldering area? did they add a slab or vertical bouldering area? that was one of the things i wish they had at the old gym.

Haven't been down yet, but I definitely will. It'll be nice to have a place close to home.

i've been going here on occasion. the gym is clean, bright and friendly - the routes aren't too bad either. it's not as big as the other gv but definitely worth a visit. i'd rather be on rope, so i'm okay with the small bouldering area. i wish there were more overhanging lead climbs.
