There are bolts that you can place in concrete for holds, but then you'll be climbing on a vertical surface and that sux. Check out http://www.cheapholds.com, I think they may have some of said bolts. Maybe not, I can't remember. Either way if you search around the internet enough you'll find them. Honestly, do what I did in my old apartment, and frame out the walls so you can do what you wish with them. You'll thank yourself later. I think I have pics of it in my photos here on the site.... <=glen=>

Ah-ha, just check the site, they do have Hollow Wall Anchors. Good luck, but like I said above just frame it out. You'll be able to do soooo much more.

If you have an existing concrete wall that you had planned on using there are a couple of different options that you can use, and depending on what you are looking for in the end some will be better than others...... you could glue the holds directly to the face of the concrete with a high grade construction adhesive, but there is nothing to guarantee that the glue will hold under any funky moves, with glueing, you may be locked into a single placement, and would want to hope that you didn't get bored of the route that you set, because it will be very difficult to pry the holds off the wall. You can get hollow block anchors that may allow you to anchor the holds directly into a hollow block, or you can get expansion type bolts for solid concrete as well. These would allow you to change your mind, move the holds around if you get bored, but it will leave holes in your concrete wall. No you don't need to fur out the walls with a wood frame and plywood but IMHO I think that is your best option, and would allow you the most versitility for route setting, and general workability. There have been some really informative posts in this forum already.... pull up a char and hanker in for some reading.....

Use those anchors to bolt 2 by 4s to the wall as a frame and cover with plywood in any slope and shape you want.
