This is a feature I made to go on the roof in one of our caves. It's roughly 8'X6' and hangs down 17". The roof this went on was 10'X14' and featureless.

That is really cool. That might be the most ambitious volume I have ever seen. Edit: Is that a horizontal roof or just a really steep wall?

That is rad, knowing you you made it yourself? If so, any insight as to how?

This is on a horizontal roof. Sure Magnus, the whole project was 2 sheets of plywood and like 5-6 eight ft long 2X4s (I didn’t count, I always have a stack of 2X4s laying around). I did the layout in Auto Cadd, I first drew it in 3D then took each triangle shaped side and layed it out on the 2 sheets of plywood. I cut all the sides with 90deg cuts then came back with a jig saw and ran it down the edge to cut the miter. I used 2X4s on the back side of all the seams for structure, cutting the angles into the 2X4s on a table saw. Everything is glued and screwed then I caulked any gaps in the seams. For paint I used “Deck Restore” which can be found at Home Depot, $40 for 2 gallons and a special roller, this job only took one gallon. The whole project took me 5 days but I was interrupted a lot so I probably could have done it in a lot less time.

Awesome! Thanks dude. Not something I intend to try any time too soon, but cool to see anyway.
