I always thought climbers were nice folks. But then not all of the people you find at gyms are climbers, per se. Here's how I look at stolen gear: Wouldn't it be kindof a brain f*** to be run out about 15 feet above a stolen camalot? Karma..... It just wouldn't feel right to truct my life to stolen gear.

i know this doesn't sound cool. but you could ask for driver's license and/or credit card. hold on to that till the person is done with gears and trade back the gear for driver's licens and credit cards. or something like that. that's on solution i can think of now. man, that sucks having people take those stuff away. i used to volunteer at a rock gym and i know that feeling of things being stolen. good luck climb on

i think it is fucked up that people are stealing gear....I always thought of climbers being nice and honest people... guess not...I like the idea of holding onto an ID if they are renting gear from you, that way you will either haver there drivers license or your gear...either way your better off than just having your gear stolen.

That suks big time!! Climbnasium is WAY COOL!!. What a great gym. I don't know if I met your Uncle and Aunt, (they both had blonde hair) but the people there are super. The ABS 3 comp last Halloween was great, they really went out of their way to make sure everyboby got something. The cash prizes were were way above what most gym owners would do for a small ABS comp. Hope to get back up there soon. Wish your Uncle all the best. Bob
