Do any of you guys wear a helmet inside? I dont see the point becaues nothing s going to fall on you. There is nothing to fall. Lead climbing is the only thing I can think of because you could get flipped upside down and hit your head..

Don't climb inside much, but I never would consider a helmet inside. The great out doors is the place for helmets.
As far as flipping during a lead fall, besure the rope always passes infro of your leg, not behind. If the rope goes between and behind a leg and you fall, its likely your gonna get flipped.

I never wear a helmet inside. There is no risk. Nothing to fall down.

(unless its a really dodgy gym thats falling apart, in that case, i wouldn't climb there in the first place)

i would not wear a helmet at the gym, however, i could see the upside, i guess if you are leading right at your limit on something overhangin, and u fall, u may get legs caught in the rope and swing back and hit your head, u never know.... stranger things have happened.....

Hey, I've flipped upside down before after having my leg caught in the rope. Lucky i was on an overhang traverse, and when i swung upside down, i fell into air. If i was on vertical, then i would have killed a few brain cells.
