I'm thinking of putting up a small wall in my second bedroom. But I live in an apartment and the noise of drilling hundrends of holes in plywood will drive my neighbors nuts. Is there any way to drill (relatively) quitely?

Why would you have to drill in your apartment? Drill the plywood elsewhere, then bring it in your apartment and mount it.

Or, use an old fashioned hand-drill?

It would be training...
Wax on, wax off. Think about how honed you'd be after hand drilling couple hundred holes
