My friend and I were goofing around today and discovered that the under side of my stairs is a good place to climb and boulder. The carpeting and overhang make it hard to grip onto, but we set up some routes and games and climbed for an hour or two. Man it even had some good dynos. Its a good place to practice technique and goof around. Anyone else have the same bright idea we had? What else could we do?

I had the same type of thing. But my stairs were not carpeted.

It works good for campusing up and down.

Its crazy what you will climb when you are at home. Like chimneying door jams to crimpers on the trim around the doorway.

the underside of my stairs is all sheet rock, so there really isn't much i can do without either punching thru it or putting up plywood
but it sounds bomber!

hehe but my garage is like 10 ft high and like 15 ft by 15 ft so if i could put up some stuff indoors it would be there!

Under your stairs would work good for a little in door wall. Just put up some ply wood. That would be phat.

i built a sort of bouldering wall under my stairs. Good way to get pumped and work on body tension.
