Yeah, it's really mostly a guess-and-get-lucky method most of the time. Experience of course helps some people off much better guesses, but I have yet to see anyone actually measure it out exactly, except when we tried it last month and failed miserably. :lol: I'd say eyeing it and guessing is the best way for ME.

And yes, once you have removed the system it is quite a hassle to change tension. Especially in a highline and even more especially with spansets, because you have to let all the tension off, take it apart, and re-tie the knot. Not very much fun.
