I've been slacklining for a long time now, and I'm ready start highlining. I have all the gear and knowledge, I just need a location. Does anyone know of a place in Maryland to set one up. So far, the only place I've seen with any potential is sugarloaf mountain.

Not sure yet. I'll be on the eastern shore (i.e. NO rocks) this spring. Plenty of big trees though. Great Falls does look promising. Let me know if you find anything and I'll do the same!

How far apart are those cliffs? They look about 100'. Also, it looks like you'd need to bring a canoe to set up the line there.

The gap at great falls is huge and I'm not sure how you would set it up. Theres annapolis rock near fredrick that has some potential but I'm not sure where you would put an anchor without bolting. Or maybe you could try old rag not sure if that has any potential but a good place to look.

I might go climbing at old rag or annapolis rocks over the weekend and look for spots to setup a highline. As to a waterline at great falls the river has a VERY VERY strong current that you can't swim in so I would not recomend that.

Unfortunately not I ended up going to annapolis rock (the rock climbing is better)and it has more potential then i thought there are many jutting formations with horizontal cracks running through them . It could be setup but it would be a very short line hopefully i will get out to old rag soon.
