No offense but it needs tweaked and your photos show very little detail of the important part.
You have your tensioning system pretty far from the tree, this makes for huge interferance swing weight. Get whatever that is, get it up close to the tree, it'll feel much, much better.
Is that just the slack coming out of a ratchet that is tied up on the tree up high? If so, it's totally unnecessary as if the ratchet spool drops, even with it tied up it'll still drop you.
Is that a 2" wide ratchet just with all the web globbed in the center (could just be lack of a close up)? If so, try making two stacks or webbing instead. Start off near one side, tighten it a bit then start angling the tail coming out to the other side of the ratchet thus making two neat piles and doubling the distance you can tighten with the system.
What is the load rating on the ratchet? It's easy to find POS stuff that is less than ideal. Try to keep it 2,200 or above for lowline use.
Safetywise, yeah you're probably fine.

that's just a regular ratchet actually. I bought it at costco... the reason it's tied at the top is because the weight of the ratchet was twisting the webbing... it has nothing to do with holding me up... it's 1" webbing as well...

It's only flopping & twisting since it's so far out and not clipped in a stable way.
The ratchet itself should be tied off really, really short against the tree so tie just a small loop of webbing to attach it to.
You'll also want to ensure that the anchor lets it stay flat when in use. Given the way it appears to be tied off you may need to rotate the ratchet's orientation 90 degrees. This too can be done with another small "ringlet" of webbing in between your sling and the carabiner.
