I decided on a whim to head down the climbing shop, pick up 45 feet of webbing and a few el-crappo biners, to setup a slackline today! Lo and behold, it's ALIVE! Sooo bloody cool... Now I'm sitting in this chair, and it feels like I'm still on the line, my legs have developed a muscle memory of the wobbles I get on the line! Anyways, point being: I'm done for the day, and the weatherman says it could rain a bit tonight. It's strung between two trees in the backyard here, and the webbing and biners are all exposed to open air above them. Is it a wise idea to take the whole thing down each night if you figure it'll storm a bit? I realize water on the biners could rust them, so just incase I've put a couple layers of saran wrap around them (classy, I know), should keep them dry. But what about the webbing? Will it hurt it to leave it up in the rain? Obviously you're not going to USE it in the rain, so it won't be stretched more than it already is, but still...I worry... Tips? Mike... --My lord is it FUN though! Wish I could rig up a higher ration pulley system though, or ALWAYS have three people around to yank it taught...much nicer when it's solid!

Actually wetting my line is part of my tightening process... after the first day of walking it I tighten it as much as possible and then turn the hose on it, by morning it has dried, shrunk a little and stiffened up too Jeff http://pages.prodigy.net/.../emoticons/wave1.gif

Sweet deal! Funny actually, friends who own the house decided that tomorow would be the first official day of watering, so the sprinklers are set to turn on tomorow morning. Heh, ok, rain or no rain, that line's gonna be WET when I wake up... Mike...
