Whats the width of the webbing that most people prefer for a slack line? Seems like wider would be better. Just wondering what I should get.

1" is the stuff. Good, strong, and cheap (esp. if you get a good deal off the 'net)

You can use whatever you want. There is no right or wrong way. Most people use 1" tubular webbing, but some use 11/16" or 9/16". The smaller diameter webbing performs differently than the others, but is not really "harder" due to its size. What will make a difference when first trying to walk the line is the amount of tension and length. A shorter line that is fairly tight is easier to learn on, and then as you get better, give her some slack and some length. Best of luck!
