I was visiting from Maryland last weekend and my grandson took me down to the beach. I am the only one in my area that I know with a slackline so wanted to watch and learn. I did not count them all, but I guessed that there were a dozen active lines at all times that Saturday afternoon. I asked a question of a fellow about how tight my line should be.. (I have been rigging too tight) Next thing, Al, a stocky fellow with glasses drags me over to one of the many lines and spends time showing me some newbie tips that I never saw on YouTube. He was very generous with his time and welcoming. You do not get the same sort of welcome in a surf lineup! Forget Disneyland... there's tons of more interesting things at the beach. Thanks Al and others. Cheers. Jim
