So I've searched through the threads in this forum and for the life of me I still can't figure this out... Once you tighten a highline, how exactly do you remove the tensioning system and keep the line taught?

Don't worry, I'm not going to go run out and do it but I'm just curious and this is something I've been wondering about for a long time.

You can tie it off with webbing and release the tensioning system on to that. You will loose some tension due to stretch in the webbing and anchor. By tensioning it tighter than you want it you can offset this.
