I ordered one of their tightening systems over a month ago. The next day I received an e mail saying it would be 5-15 before it was shipped. It never showed up. I followed up with two e mails, and two phone messages, and have had no response. Did they go out of business?

I have been out of the loop for a while, but their pulley castings are produced in batches, it is the nature of castings. Perhaps they are waiting on the next batch. Just a guess.

Slackline Brothers is still alive and kickin! Dredsovrn is right, it was hard to find a pulse there for a couple of weeks. Maria, that runs the day to day responsibilities, was out of the country for three weeks. And we have been waiting for the casters to deliver the parts we need to assemble the fourth hundred sets of pulleys! We took possession of the castings today, so we will assemble and ship a.s.a.p.. I did finally receive the tightening system. After setting it up according to the instructions I found that it would not hold the static line under tension. When I looked closely at the picture, I realized that they had assembled the braking pulley incorrectly. I had to take it apart, turn the brake around, and reassemble it. It works fine now, but what a disappointing experience. I spent $160, waited two months, and then had to fix it to make it work. I was afraid to send it back because I didn't know how long it would take to get it back.

Lol. That's funny. I've got one of their pulley systems and it works really nicely. I'm sure you'll appreciate having it now that you do. Cheers, Niles P.S. Instead of threading the end of the rope through the hole in the break arm, thread it through the two walls of the break instead. This will make it break automatically when you stop tensioning.

I was afraid to send it back because I didn't know how long it would take to get it back. thats odd, the nuts on that thing are one-way! how could you take it apart? i cant imagine the break was backwards!- perhaps you just threaded it wrong. but hey- why are you complaining on this website- slackline bros. does have their own fourms (better yet, their own emails) you can babble your pessimistic thoughts to.

The nuts weren't easy to get off, but they unscrewed with a hex wrench and vice grips. It was definitely backwards. It wouldn't hold the least bit of tension until I disassembled it and turned it around. I guess I am just unlucky. It works great now though.
