Sorry to ask, but isn't there a small rv loop inbetween the walk-in campground and the regular parking lot at Smith?

Yes there sure is. I saw an Rv there during my stay.

There is also free camping about 20 min drive away.

It's called the grasslands, on Skull Hollow road, I believe.

Gotta comment again, the grasslands had a cool vive while I was there, but with the gas prices if your able to camp just stay at the park. Getting the Showers and toilets is pretty nice. If you have an RV then definately stay at the park lol, youll spend a fuckload of money going back and forth otherwise.
