I posted this in the general discussion but this may be a better place.

I have noticed that in the routes section people will use the abbreviation HA when talking about what is at the top of the route. I have seen LO (lower off) but cannot for the life of me think HA.

I learned to sport climb in Europe so much of my terminology is german so this may be part of the issue.

It's the guidebook author laughing at you if you think you're going to find an anchor up there, as in "Anchors? Ha!"

Maybe it just means Has Anchors.

Ah - it means that it's a long way to the last chains - "High Altitude." doesn't matter if it's a 70 foot crag, you may need oxygen to clip the anchors.

It means Helmet Advised. Used on routes often struck by rockfall or avalanches.

Aaahhh, this explains the numbing in my face I felt as I clipped the last few bolts. Very very tricky.
