I have been using the rescuescender for top.rope solo and it works incredibly well. No teeth on the cam to damage the rope, and its never failed on a fall, even on some with a few feet of slack in the rope. Reply easy to rig, and easy to.escape as long as you have an extra sling for tying a friction knot to.release the weight. And it moved realy smooth along the rope. Again just back it up. If you plan on doing a lot at soloing then its worth It's weight in gold.

i see this has turn into all kinds of different ways to rope solo. i am wondering about the silent partner? i have used it a few times easy TR. i thought it went well upward, stopped all falls but was fairly hard to get the device working again.had to completely unwieght the rope.
i am new to this device and taking it slow. wondering if there is any tips/tricks and any lessons learned when starting to lead with the device
