What's the deal with Cradle Rock, NJ? I was there a couple weeks ago for the first time, it was beautiful, pristine woods, and then I saw this huge black chain link fence seemingly miles long. All the good climbing that I could see was on the other side, but I've heard there's more around there. Anyone know anything about this? Anything you know about the area would be great (or any other outdoor climbing near Princeton). THanks

cradle rock is off limits, the owners of the land didn't want climbers there after a lot of graffiti. there is other local bouldering, the is some in the sourland preserves, both in hopewell and in hillsborough/skillman, you just have to find it

please stay out of cradle rock- otherwise you threaten the access permnantly. Sourlands is great. its the same basalt boulders. it just doesn't have as many classics as Cradle Rock does. but definietly worth the time. friction is awesome- especially now! Also Zion Boulderfied? Anyone know access issue on Zion?
