I'm sorry to hear of another climber passing this year. Condolences to the family and friends.

Hopefully more details will emerge so that we can get a clearer picture of what went wrong. My assumption is that they were soloing an easy section and he took an unexpected fall that carried him quite a ways. The article says he was carrying the team's rope at the time. Hopefully someone who knows more can chime in.
