A climber died after plummeting from a cliff into the sea and drowning under the weight of his heavy climbing gear, according to reports.

Now I wonder if its worth clipping the lead rope with a auto locking carabiner for easy disconnect in deep water climbing.

the hell?.... if you're deep water soloing then you don't have gear... if you have gear then you aren't dws... the whole thing makes no sense at all..
