H T, 29, an IT specialist at Standard Bank in Johannesburg, sustained serious burns and his backpack and clothes also had burn marks.

Crazy. Among all of the other risks that climbers have to deal with that golfers don't, lightning is trying to kill us too... Mad

This doesn't make sense. Lightning is a serious threat to golfers as well as climbers.

I read sbaclimber as saying that lightning is a common risk, and we climbers have so many more additional ones.

Though he has obviously never seen me golf...

That is the second climber that has died of a freak accident at that crag in the last few months

In august a large rock rolled onto another climber crushing him.
