Don't use it or smoke it!! The only time i've retired krabs is when they've been dropped a significant distance, as the impact can damage the internal structure of the alloy. They should also be checked regularly for burrs (sharp bits!) which can damage the rope. Sorry, don't know what that is in Venezuelan

Be sure to retire any metal equipment if it has fallen to the solid ground from any hight above 2 meters! You should also throw away a carabiner, figure 8, etc if the alloy (not it's color) shows a significant amount of wear. Reading the manufacturers instructions would also be a good idea. They normally state down the age at which the equipment should be retired. Best wishes, Rado

How the, how the hail you get them upside-down question mark thingies.....? I learned to dance the merengue (did I spell it right?) in Venezuela in about 1985 from this hotty soap opera star named Irene. Holy moly, I'll never forget those swaying hips. She must have been pretty famous because when they introduced her, all the local Venezuelans in the resort got up and clapped. I don't remember her last name. Do you guys know who I mean? Cheers, Passo el pitonos Pedro
