I make my hand holds out of wood. just buy 2x4 and cut them up to you disired lenth and carve shapes in them with a jigsaw

If you can find "natural" hand holds, that's great. My friend likes to get rocks from the stream behind his house. He's got a pretty nice setup in his garage!

in australia the train tracks have heaps of perfect rocks on them. i just borow them, grind one end of them so that it is nice and flat and glue them on the wall with very, very stong glue. im sure there are rocks where you are from.
