R&I put out a little mini-magazine about climbing about 6 months ago. It has information from explaing the different types of holds, foot work, gear, knots, everything. It is put in a way that a nonclimber can read it in 30-45 minutes and understand, with lots of pictures and diagrams. See if you can find it, it's exactly what you're looking for. rrrADAM

Yeah. I am looking at a copy of that mag right now. It's called Go Climb!, and it looks like they put out a new edition every year. You could call their toll free number to try and get a hold of it: 877-ROCKICE. It's a pretty nifty li'l intro to climbing. And it has pretty pictures too.

yeah- how about that larry the loser and "Bomber" the advice nut. pretty funny eh? Surely they have "Go Climb" @ nomad Ventures outside J tree....?
