I need a dynamic rope I can use for toproping, and sport climbing. 60m or 70m. What thickness. Dry treated or not?(I plan to climb on a bridge pillar next to a creek). Please give me brand names. Thanks

Not sur about brand names. I get a pro deal with sterling but I really like them besides getting a good price. Here is some info on ropes that may help if your just starting out. http://youtu.be/7_cZHbuLcoY and here is some more http://youtu.be/gNfd5zzsalM That know it all bastard with 2870 some post actually hit the nail right on the head. Forget the 70 meter. Forget the 11mm. Get a good entry level rope. Mamut, Sterling, Bluewater etc are all good brands. Forget dry treated, they are super slick when new and new climbers have lost control of belays because of it. Just get a basic rope.
