Add On!!!! It's a great game to to with friends! One guy does 2-3 moves then stops then the next gut does that and adds on 2-3 more moves, until someone falls. (sometimes a person gets like 3 falls befor they are out of the game), last one climbing wins!

Another thing I like to do but it's not a game, is mock trad climbing on a bouldering wall. (small tri cams work great in many pockets).

also there is the match game, you don't have to add on, but just do something as hard as you can, and see if the other person can match it.

Another variation on the "add on" game is once you have several moves set by the players, you try to see if you can complete the entire sequence while leaving out a move. Each person tries to leave out more moves making the sequence harder until only one person is left. Climb On

vertical twister: "left hand blue sloper!" "right foot green footchip!" also, choose a starting and finishing hold, then give each player 2 minutes to stare at the preferrably LONG problem and figure out a way to get between the two in the least ammount of moves. One more- this is only if you are a pretty strong crew. do problems with your feet taped together. It makes for afun campus workout...be sure to have good spotters!!!

play climb! its just like horse in basketball but your on a climbing wall...one person does a move and all the otehr players have to do it, if you cant do it you get a letter, first person to spell climb loses and you play untill their is one person who hasent spelled climb.

If you can, take out the holds that you use the most often and try do it using unfamiliar(sp?) ones. It's alot more challenging!

we often just try the route in reverse or to skip certain holds. we also play the add-on game. we have merged it with the game PIG. what we do is have each climber add 2-3 moves. the object is to make the new route as long as possible, not necessarily harder. if a climber is unable to repeat the new moves, the person who added the moves gets a letter. we usually play at the end of our workout so attaining the 3 letters P I G is usually enough. once someone falls, we start a new route until someone spells PIG.

Another Blindfold game. Practice on a climbing wall untill you are at home on it. Then Blindfold yourself and have your belay partner explain the route to you while you climb. Builds great trust as well as endurance, stamina and a feel for climbing. breathe stone R C

We have lots of younger middle school age kids, so we have a twister spinner and play rock twister. However, I don't know if you have colored holds. But, it's an easy way to get a real quick work out!

If you want to have fun... We have lettered grips in my school, so I put my name next to 'wall'. You could just fool around with letters and numbers.
