I started bouldering just under a month ago. I live in Squamish BC.I bought the local boulder guide. I'm having loads of fun with my 2 more experienced roommates. A lot of 1 star V0 problems in the guide are overgrown. I have cleaned a few by scrubbing with a wire brush. I'm realizing that some of the taller problems will pose a challenge when it comes to cleaning the middle part. So far I have had one guy stand on the other guys shoulders for slabs . So I'm thinking about getting a ushba basic ascender and harness and tying a bowline around the tree. Just to be clear I am only interested in cleaning boulders

Crickets.... This forum isn't very helpful.... I got a harness, rope, ushba, etc. and cleaned a few problems of moss from the guide. I have since tried rope climbing but not thanks to any help from this beginner forum.... Thanks goes to mountaineering, freedom of the hills. G'day |

You made statements about what you intended to do and then you did them. Had you asked a question or two you might have gotten some responses.

My second post contained no more questions than the first. Yet the first had over 200 views without comment. The second post got a comment within hours??? Thanks but no thanks.

I re-read your post. I could not find a single question. (What do Questions genrally end with? <- ) but yeah, anyway this place is a lot less busy than a few years ago.

Those may have been Canadian questions...we need an interpretur. Doesn't Kartessa speak Canadian? Oh, by the way, in Squeamish, the cleaning standards are much different than any place out of the Northwet area.
