jsunmatthews wrote: Wow. I could probably say something really witty to that. Like yes, Jack, I hiked 5 miles to the CVS in Big Bear, bought a sponge, some soap, carted a few gallons of water 20 feet up the crag, washed off some dickwads 3 feet high initials, and still had about 10 minutes of daylight left to climb. Or I could just say "go fuck yourself Jack, I was just making a valid point about people defacing a beautiful place." Sorry you got your panties in a bunch. I don't candy coat my words and I call it like I see it. I agree that 'dickwads defacing a beautiful place' sucks. Instead of posting your rant, you could have just as easily done something about it. You could have use some of your water, got water from other climbers and hiked up to the initials and washed them off. Wouldn't have taken more than 5 or 10 minutes. That's what I would have done. BTW, do we know each other? You seem to know me.

Sometimes the persistent dick thing has a point that takes repeating to get through. Hell, Ive seen someone within their first five posts answer that they probably need to go read Self Coached Climber. Give credit to JT for that. Sometimes the spelling catches are funny sometimes not.

Hello, I'm climbing for a while at Holcomb Valley Pinnacles, but seem to have run out of chaulk faster than I thought I would - used it up too quick I guess. Can anyone point me to some local climbing store that sells the 1 kilo boxes of chaulk? Also, could some kind soul give me directions to get to the other walls from Coyote crag? Thanks bushels in advance.
