No one began a discussion about this news but the locked topic in Climbing News, so I do open it.

I think it's a big event in the history of sport climbing as it sets milestone and gives this sport its independency, apart from alpinism. It gives Frost, chouinard and others a definitive rule in the history of rock climbing.
And personaly, it gives the desire to read "Camp 4" again, the book written by Steve Roper. I own an edition full of pictures, the most impressive being all the equipment and tools the guys used in Yosemite.

I'm sure some of you might add some personal experience to this topic...
