NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday did a story on the late Warren Harding which included an interview from about ten years ago. You can listen at: http://search.npr.org/cf/cmn/cmnpd01fm.cfm?PrgDate=03%2F23%2F2002&PrgID=7 It's a nice look at how far big wall climbing has come since then. It also touches on the fact that bolting was controversial even back in the day. Can anybody offer any other insight into Mr. Harding or big wall climbing in the "early" days?
