Corey-

Proposing before the big "mish"? I quit going to church long ago and I still know that is just asking for trouble.

Day one we did screaming cheese and swiss cheese on the Anteater rock. Delay of game and Norma's book on the Parking lot rock.
Day two we did Rain Dance and Tribal Boundaries on Flaming rock. On Bumblie rock we did Mystery Bolter, great climb!
Day three we went to the Lost Arrow rock and did the Classic Route, another awesome long climb with a scary two rope rappel. Then we went to Mushroom rock and climbed on Margin Walker after Chris Anthony lead it.
What a great time! Wish we could have hooked up. Corey

What a GREAT WEEKEND
To those who missed it, I am sorry, we'll fo it again next spring. To those who were there and with whom I climbed, THANX for a great time.

Arrived Thursday afternoon, it was raining, hung out by myself since everybody there already was out climbing. Friday Chris, Tony, Karen and i drove to Burley for Pizza, goceries and a bit o maintenence on my Cruiser. That afternoon we climbed Pygmies got Stoned and The Pedestal (i think) on the north face of Elephant Rock. Saturday took us out to Lost Arrow Spire, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL area. After much searching and debate over where the route actually started we climbed the Classic Route. GREAT FUN, culminating in a VERY sketchy runout to the top. From the top of the Lost Arrow Spire we were treated to one of the best views the City has to offer, and then one of the most gut wrenching rappels the City offers as well.

Thanx to Chris, Tony, Karen, Kelly, Corey and Anne for a great weekend.

Yo elvislegs it's cool about the bouldering. We weren't asleep. I heard you guys and was like what the heck!!??? Then I heard anne's voice and realized what was going on. It was good entertainment. I was going to come out and join ya but I had just barely got my sleeping bag warm and plus I don't think sheeba would have liked it if I just left her there. It was good climbing with ya Sunday. I loved that climb. My first real climb in the city! Can't wait till ya come in here to Twin Falls.

Hey the City was a blast!!! Can't wait to climb with ya all again!!

Anne...when those picts come up let me know were they are please.?

GAH!! This is the first time I've been able to log onto the site since getting home yesterday afternoon.

What a great time, wish I was still there snoozing away in my tent and stinking of climbing sweat and duraflame. Oh well such is life. Here's a brief recap of my experiences:

Wednesday:
After a lenghthy liquor-getting adventure I finally pulled into my site at about 11pm. Thanks to Pete (rocknpowda) for the warning about the difficulties in finding booze even in Idaho. I wish I would have taken your warning a little more seriously. Oh well, it was a good adventure.

Thursday:
Corey (coreyr) and I did some early morning (read cold) recon of the area before others arrived. That day Karen (adkaren ... new cult-member ... errr, rc.com'r as of this trip, yay!), Kelley (kmunderground), Corey, and I hit the Parkinglot rock area. Since it was both frigid and a Thursday we had the whole area to ourselves. First we hit The Anteater. We got on Scream Cheese (5.9), and Swiss Cheese (5.7) before packing up and moving to Parkinglot rock. It actually started to snow for a little bit while Karen and Corey were setting up their rappels. It was that cold. On PL Rock we did the famous and infamous Delay of Game, and Kelley led up Norma's Book (5.6) with Corey while Karen and I kept warm at the base.

Friday:
The weather report was spot on and it rained pretty much all morning. So, we used the time to head into Burley to get some fixins for Trevor's (Litedawg) Land Cruiser (an '84 I think it was ... ? sweet vehicle). While in town we loaded up on pizza with so much dead animal on it it took about a gallon of that red mountain dew to wash down. The skies cleared up and once we got back into the City we got in two routes on Elephant rock. The Pygmies Got Stoned (5.10a) and Just Say Go (5.10a). By the time we wandered back to camp it was just about dark. We also ran into Chad (Timpanogos), Anne (Climbinganne), Kurt (pfc_monty), and guest (GUEST) at Elephant and shared some belays and routes. That night we decided to do some night-climbing and Chris (can't remember the screen name ... ? sorry) led up First Lead (5.6) on Practice Rock. When Corey was seconding it was really cool-looking to be watching from a little distance and just see the two headlamps shining all over the route.

Saturday:
To avoid the crowds we took Saturday to hike out to the Lost Arrow and do the Classic Route (5.7). It was Chad, Trevor, Corey, Chris, Karen, and I. The hike was beautiful but I was glad to finally arrive at the crag. We broke up into three parties of two and all six of us made it up with no problems at all. The top of the spire is about the size of a large living room with spectacular views in every direction. This was by far my favorite climb of the trip and I highly recommend it to anybody heading to the City. The added bonus of ditching the crowds somewhat is just icing. After getting off the route we headed over to Mushroom Rock where Chris led us up Margin Walker (5.11b). A really great steep climb with some dazzling moves on it, even though it was a bit hard for myself.

Sunday:
After our campground was invaded by a bunch of East-coasters before we could barely get our stuff out, Chris and I got in one last climb in the Breadloaves before leaving the City. I'm not 100% sure but it looks like it may have been Double Vision (5.10a). Both of us feeling pretty beaten up and ready for showers we decided to hit the road back to Salt Lake.

What a great trip. Thank you all who came for making it so much fun and sorry that I missed all of those who came and never hooked up with our group. It's a beautiful area and we've just barely scratched the surface. I hope to be back there soon.
