Attention All Climbers!
The "1st Annual Bear Valley Boulder Bash" is coming to California's Central Sierra Nevada Range this August 18-20, 2006. From boulders to big-walls, Mountain Adventure Seminars (MAS) is hosting three days of education, competition and celebration about the thrills of outdoor rock climbing in the small alpine village of Bear Valley at 7,000 feet. Beginner through expert rock climbers welcome.

The bouldering contest is shaping-up to be a great event with over 75 problems from 5.6 - V6 and beyond. Several new hard problems will be prepared for a first ascent while some of the highball problems will have top-ropes to keep folks safe. Tons of prizes and cash for competitors. We hope to see you cranking out there.

Should be fun. Speed contest on Sunday. Lots of short 30-100 foot climbs around on Ebbetts. I think there are almost 100 climbs now. if you know where to look. Box Canyon is a great beginner crag with about 15 routes. .http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/listArea.php?AreaID=10283
