Hm, Kcrag, I'm not sure I want to subject my poor wife to all you beer-guzzling slobs. (Translation: I want to watch Elvis in his tights without distraction.)

Oh mikedano... we're all TALK! Remember, after our Colorado Winter Summit, we were each barely able to lift just 12 ounces at the Leadville brewery (maybe this time, we'll go for atg's 2 oz. shots of tequila, instead!). I'd be honored to meet the mrs. mikedano. In the words of Amber... "we're harmless"!

clymber_chk and skibby,
I'll have to acquire your help with my girlfriend. She'll be at the get-together, but she's never climbed before. She's had a rough bout with a bad knee, but I know she'd love climbing if I could convice her to try it.

climbing, a DATE, and magic gorp (whatever the heck that is)... who could ask for more? Skibby... will this magic gorp allow me to NOT be the last one up the hill, or do I still have to keep training?!

HOW did I miss seeing this??? I'm in, I could be talked into leading some stuff. Would anybody be interested in a super light super fast dual solo of Blitzen ridge in the park? I would have to point out that the snow pack might still be a little high in early June. Course what does that matter if there's keg stands and tequila shots going on....Alpine start? ah, no! josh

So is June 12-15 official? Does that weekend work for everyone? I need to get the time off from work.

Excellent, I'll go ahead and plan for June 12-15 and hope it doesn't change. My IPW ski trip didn't happen. The weekend we were planning for was the weekend after the huge snow storm. I was so bummed. We had everything ready to go, up to the point where we were just waiting to hear what the final word was on the snow fall and avalanche danger. Alls well though. Sounds like we'll still see some snow in June, so I'm happy. I'll be bringing the slackline, an integral part of every rc.com get-together. After the Minnesota and SLC get-togethers and hanging out with rrradam in Long Beach, I'm hopelessly addicted. It's the greatest campsite passtime....well next to drinking, that is. Combine the two and....well you can imagine.

Ah geez. I just noticed this is the same weekend I'll be in Alaska with my wife visiting a friend. It's like the one thing I have planned all summer. Nutter! Anyway, anyone looking for a partner for this kind of fun--email me!

climb4life, Well then, a rockclimbing.com get-together is the place to be. Everybody is so cool at these. Everyone's having a good time and really laid back. I'm the most reserved person in the world, and I met all kinds of new friends at the two gatherings I went to last year. I have no doubt you'll have a blast if you come.

Ditto jhatten. In fact we need more shy people at these things to counterbalance the loud obnoxious ones. Oh, wait atg200 said he can't come to this one either. I guess we will be ok then :D Since I don't have a job that demands the slightest bit of responsibility and no S.O. dragging me off to Alaska, I will be there. I would be willing to drag errrr.. lead a couple people up something moderate.

Thunk (the sound of a noob tossing his helmet into the ring)! Count me in for June 14 & 15. I'm willing to get on the sharp end of a rope, preferably on rock. I agree with flamer that the snowpack should be healthy, and north facing rock might still be wet (i.e. Lone Eagle Peak, Spearhead, Toll, Sharkstooth). Thus, it may be a good idea for leaders to obtain some beta on route conditions a week or so before the big day. One south facing possibility is Hiamovi Tower -- 8 pitches of 5.0 to 5.4 rock, with a short 5.7 option near the top. Finally, there's always the south facing, semi-alpine multi-pitch climbs of Lumpy Ridge. It wouldn't take much arm twisting to get me up there. As a side note, anybody have advice on personal profile "issues"? I'm struggling with the little things that repeatedly don't take -- like paragraphs (hellooo "enter" key, show me you do something), location (although I realize Aurora is embarrassing), and route information.

Bah. Due to roommate issues beyond my control, I am scheduled to be moving on June 15th. This means I probably won't be able to make it to this gathering either... :( Anyway, have fun without me..
