I'm heading out Friday morning and leaving Saturday evening. I was originally planning on bouldering only, but it looks like I may have to suit up and drag Adam up "Monaco" if everyone is going to be in Indian Cove. Any other takers for some bouldering during the day?

Mike
Adam led Monaco last trip out....I suggest you drag him up Pocket Pool instead.
oooh oooh even better go drag him up Condor! I wanna see someone lead that sucker (not me, even on a good day).

Hey Ride,so tell all of the interested parties exactly where this cabin is?
I heard organic trash can be used as composte. We probably don't have enough time for a through cleansing of "S".
So anyone can you tell me the best routes in Indian Cove? Are there any classics?
Thanks for the weather JT. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

If this forecast holds, Indian Cove is going to be too warm. Better to climb in the main park.

Hmm... forecast I saw on weather.com for the town of Joshua Tree showed mid-60's through the weekend for highs, mid to upper 30's for lows. Twentynine Palms was upper 60's for highs, low 40's for lows. Either way, it sounds like great weather. Much better than highs in 20's like it's supposed to be here in Indiana.

Thanks to Adam I had a 9am wake up call from a Ranger . By the way people I work late so don't call me before noon .

So Ranger Don Roberts and I talked, and all is cool. He was a really nice guy and offered any help that we needed. His concern was the amount of people comming, beacuse if you have over a certin number of people youneed a permit. We do not exceed that number, so all is good. We also had a talk about the impact that we are going to have on the park, and he is convinced that we will not be a problem. So let's keep in mind to keep our impact as low as possibal and leave the park cleaner than it was when we got there.

Oh yes, I'm gonna climb La Reina

One: that's not true jay, I've worked a hole 4 day's this month. So Ha

Two: Ride, that climb has a bit of my flesh and only from top rope, I need to lead that thing.

Three: I accually need to borrow a crash pad from someone. I think I may try to lead Ceremony 5.10c (First Bolt 20 feet up)

I've got high hopes for this trip.

And I am SO jumping on that bed. I just hope the headboard posts don't impale me

Hillary,

I believe that's the same place that fo_d and his daughter stayed in last year..

It's super-pimp-funktomonious.

Really.

I hope that's sincerity, Dom. I'd be crushed if they had remodeled it with something modest and Motel 6-y. Crushed

I spoke with the ranger, and he was under the impression that over 100 people would be all in one site. I told him this was not so, and also explained that the vast majority of us "understand and support the rules at the park."

He is satisfied... So we need to camp, park, and and act responsibly.

See you there.
