Hey, anyone attending the Mt. Washington ice festival and/or the AAC annual meeting? Conditions for ice climbing? Seems like some cold weather has returned, but, will it be enough to restore some ice in time for the weekend? Hope so. Where can a feller get his breakfast and coffee on in the a.m. prior to climbing in North Conway? Cheers! -Brian in SLC

There is a little place in downtown just north of the R/R Park on the left. It is small and a line forms early, but it is a good breakfast. It is in the same area as the EMS and IME climbing shops if those are landmarks for you. If I could remember the name and hours I might have given them, but they excape me. I haven't eaten over there this season. Damn weather paterns...

If you are climbing up RT 302 at Frankenstein or Crawford Notch there is a great little resturant in a convience store in Barlett. I believe that it is the Bear Notch Resturant. It is open early. Brian
