So who is coming in or heading up to Flag on Thursday? Friday?
I have no doubt everyone can get picked up from the airport, but some people have bought the tickets already and are feeling a bit anxious because they don't have a confirmed pick up time yet.

I can't wait. I am going to skip school on the 26th and 27th to get up to the pit. I was just wondering how many people are actually going to be there and what all is going on. Is everyone going to be at the pit and that is it? Also are most of the people going to show up on Thurs. or Fri.?

I am thinking about attending this little shindig as well. But how come the page that Erica links to above does not show up on the front page under the Events and Gatherings area. The October gathering at the City is listed but not the September gathering in AZ.

What kind of stuff will be happening up here at night, besides drinking and smores? Are most people getting there on thurs.? Should we bring food for all 4 days or is RC providing that crap and shrimp thing?

Hmmmm no crap...unless crap shows up.
But flagstaff_climber generously offered to supply the shrimp and crab bake. I hope that campfires will be allowed by then and if so, traditonal smores, MY SMORES(think bananas, chocolate, and marshmellow, mmmmmmm), if ya got guitars, bring em. ...
If no campfires, perhaps some night bouldering OR...the nightlife in Flagstaff (5 minutes away) is hoppin'. Kick butt hippies, microbreweries, awesome live music. And it will be in full swing as it is a college town and the kiddies are just getting back to school.
Oh my gosh, this is going to be fun.

To answer your food question...there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants in town, so you can stock up there. Rick will offer up the shrimp and crab, but as it's expensive, I suggest we all throw 2 bucks or so his way to help ease his pain. If everyone brings food, (or beer, etc.) we'll be stocked.

K, thanx for writing back, I'll just stock up on food before i come. Also, I think that the night bouldering idea is awesome. Maybe we could have a little dyno comp. too. That could be funny if everyone tried it after they drank. LOL. But, anyways I can supply the music. My blazer has 2 fifteens and is loud as hell, so I can handle that aspect. I can't wait, this is gonna be sweet.

I met flagstaffclimber, while speedy1600 and I were up at the pit Saturday. We all can't wait till september. I was trying to get some routes done, so I don't look like such a fool at the gathering, lol. I lead an onsight, Popeye 5.9, and tried to lead onsight Mr. Slate 5.10b, but couldn't get past the crux. But, maybe next month.
It's gettin closer!!!!!!!!! YAH

Campfires are allowed at the Pit campground and at others as far as I know. I can co and get like 5 sites the day before is enough people are gonna be there.
Ericia try and get me a number of people a few weeks before and the $2 a piece would be fine.

went to the draw for the first time this weekend....can't wait for the get together. ps. Erica, those roofs are awesome, but the 2 finger pockets hurt like hell! It's going to take a while to get used to it.
