Just a heads-up to the folks who are trad-bound. I was at Paradise Forks this weekend, and it is the height of elk-hunting season. Beware around dawn and dusk! We cooked dinner to the sounds of gunshot and dying elk I am sure it is relatively safe, but use your best judgement...stray bullets go a long way.

Dying elk Thanks for the tip James. Don't forget to drive carefully too, especially at night, as the elk are a wanderin' the roads... and some of them don't weigh that much less than your car!

There is fresh snow on the mountains, and I'm moving to Southern Arizona tomorrow. My friends are right, I'm crazy. Anyway, I was wondering where are we camping. I'll be rolling into Flagstaff about 9 or 10 p.m. Firday night. Mike [ This Message was edited by: altamike on 2002-09-19 07:23 ]

Well, I'm staying in Yos longer than expected . . . I had hoped to go to the AZ gathering afterwards, but I gots to work. Anyone out there interested in joining me in Mid-Late October for a day or two in Paradise Forks? I"m going on a long road trip. If you are into it, please EMAIL me, as the gov't internet kind of hates RC.com and I rarely am able to log on. Thanks!

And duuuuuuuuude, I am stockpiling film like a mutha. If you can get to an Albertson's/Osco/Sav-On, they should still have 4-packs of 400 speed, store brand color film on sale for $4.99. 96 exposures! for 5 bucks! Oh yes, I *will* be sticking my camera up in everything. There will be SO many pictures. So. Many. I lurve taking pictures! Good times, good people (well, hopefully )... you'll thank me for the memories later Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
