'Vous no. 9 is just around the corner, folks! Registration opens March 15! The price is a touch higher this year, $30, because we have a lot in the hopper in the very near future, such as: --Restore Butchers Branch trail and save the hemlocks from invasives. --Secure access at popular Summersville Lake and Meadow River crags. --Improve access trail to Whippoorwill. --Support efforts to design and build American Alpine Club campground. --Continue to replace old anchors. Of course, 2010 was no slouchy year for us. Projects included: --Installed two informational kiosks and split-rail fencing at Bubba City parking lots. --Rebuilt the stone steps that access the top of Bridge Buttress. --Built mega-stairs to improve access to the Junkyard Wall. --Re-routed trail at the base of the Junkyard Wall. --Secured permanent access to Bubba City. --Partnered with the American Alpine Club to find and buy land for future campground. $30 buys you all the greatness you've come to know and love, plus more. Stay tuned for announcements throughout the spring! Who's in?

<-- raises hand. I just donated some money to NRAC through raffle at Akron comp. 24 of my raffle tickets in a bag of about 50... didn't win anything, of course. With my luck, that would have been miraculous if I won at those odds.

More climbing, debauchery, and camaraderie than you can shake a stick at!! Clinics, climbing, hanging out with fellow climbers at a world-class climbing destination. Well worth the price of admission!

Desertapalooza, free beer, free food, raging dance party with Freakbass, the dyno comp, clinics (MOST of them free). It's insane. But it's controlled insanity. We limit registrations to keep it from getting too crowded. Check the New River Rendezvous website for more details!

Even without knowing what it was beforehand, you guys did a GREAT job with the above. I was very impressed with the above things at Bubba, Junkyard, and Bridge at the very least. Keep up the good work.

The steps at Bridge and Junkyard were really well done. I hadn't seen trailwork like that anywhere that I could remember. I won't be there for the 'vous, but maybe this fall. Let's try to get together then (dates TBD)

Why come to the New River rendezvous? Well, aside from the fact that it's the single best Rendezvous in the country, IMO, we need your aid and money to: 1. Continue to re-equip aging climbs. 2. Secure permanent parking and access (P&A) for Summersville Lake. 3. Win P&A for the Regular Meadow @ Rt. 19. 4. Solidify P&A for the Lower Meadow. 5. Finalize P&A for Bubba City thru Wildrock. 6. Secure P&A for the Upper Meadow. 7. Improve the Endless Wall base trail. 8. Overhaul the Whippoorwill trail. 9. Conserve cliff-top and bottom habitat. 10. Protect crucial trail-integrity trees at Butchers Branch. Over the years, your assistance helped us: 1. Define the NPS Climbing Management Plan. 2. Replace oodles of aging bolts and anchors. 3. Rock the New River Rendezvous (9 years and counting)! 4. Create lasting relationships with the NPS and Army Corps. 5. Build and install the Endless Wall Loop Trail and ladders. 6. Build the Butchers Branch Trail. 7. Build the Junkyard Wall Trail. 8. Build the Bridge Buttress top-access stairs. 9. Build and install the Summersville trail and ladder. 10. Install Bubba City info kiosks.

I just donated for this years round of anchor replacement but you folks are gonna have to make due without me at the rendezvous. Way to many people. And +1 on everything Greg said. All the new trail work and stainless anchors are really well done. Thanks for all the hardwork!

It's all true, and it's all our fault. That's 6 PM Pacific time, 9 PM local, which is one hour before Freakbass starts to play.

I'm coming down with a whole group of people from Rochester, NY. I can't wait! last time I went the NRR was free :D Does anyone know if I'm likely to be able to get the guidebook in Fayetteville or will it sell out with this many people in town? I don't want to get stuck without a guide.
