I have a fortuitously scheduled job in New Hampshire the week before, so it looks like I might be crashing the party. This is a good thing since I did not make it up there last season. Black flies be damned ! Hope to see y'all there. Tim

Great to have you along Tim ... you can play with the big boyz! I'm sure your 11 range will creep up a little at Rumney

In reply to: Besides, Piper can't dance. Hmm? So Josh you are on a first name basis with the donkey! How did that transpire??? Regarding black flies, I don't known how many times I have to repeat this... It is an rural myth!!! There are no black flies in New Hampshire. It is just a nasty rumor spread by locals to keep the flatlander numbers down. Regarding weather, I hesitate to bring this up but last year we did go to church and the weather was grand. Not sure there is a connection. Todd if the church would be gracious enough to host us again I would love to attend. Heck I would be willing to whip up a good old RC (That would be rock climbing, not Roman Catholic) grace to say before the meal!!!! Jake, does Millennium Falcon count as part of the Main Cliff? I could use a belay on it this year.

Tiff says she wants to do more sport this year to get strong again, so I guess you'll be seeing us up there more often. Josh

It's a little to the left. You can't see much of it from the road because it's all behind trees.

I was climbing at Rumney on 4/1. Unfortunately, it appears Main Cliff will be closed until August 1, 2008. The NFS posted signs stating that the closure applies to "Spaceship wall on the left and Wendell's Area / Friendship Tower on the right". It sounds like this corresponds to everything on Main Cliff to climber's right of the Armed and Dangerous area, thus sadly closing Millennium Falcon. Regardless, I plan on embracing the Ruckus this year. Sounds like the list of attendees is growing rapidly. Do you all think the campground will be big enough?

Josh i very rarely hit up Main wall.. it always tends to be busy and i've been working stuff other places so i havent hit up Millennium. Peer Pressure is probably my favorite 10 up there that i've done. I'm working most of the summer so i probably won't be able to get up there a ton. I do have the first m-wed of june off and same of july (i believe) so i'll probably try to go up then

Not sure, A.J. ... never camped there before. Thanks for the forewarning! Now everyone can make plans for other places. Card's open if anyone needs a partner.

wow Jake! that site demonstrates alot of pain and frustration at Jesus and the church. If I knew that I wouldn't have brought it up again. Sorry. For the record, I WILL NOT be buying or wearing a dinojesus Tshirt, (but I support your right to wear one).

So we all can see how this is shaping up, I edited the OP to include a list of those who said they will be there and those who are thinking about it. If your name is not there, and you want to be counted, you can PM me. I don't read every post here, so I might miss someone if I don't get a PM. Hmmm .. should I invite the Rumney Climbers Association? Would be nice to get then involved also!

I talked to my 71 year young partner today and if nothing happens we will be there. Do you have room for two old farts from pa. I'll email you in a minute. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you again and just meeting some new folks.

We don't need to wear silly name tags with our monikers, do we? That'd be silly, and at the same time smart.
