Okay, so back to the topic. My vote is Oct. 7th thru the 9th, in Flagstaff. This way I can make it and all the people going to Thiland can go too. It seems like a friendly time and Other than Reno, Art and Kelly, Noone elese has a concern. As far as the place goes, I don't know AZ. too well, and know that it has a bit for everyone. Trad (real climbers), Sport (people like Jay and Art), and Bouldering (the turtle tribe). If there are any other ideas let us know. I up for anywhere, but lets try to make as many people happy as possibale. I have found that you will always have a few people complain, but what are you gonna do. Oh, and camping. what about the campsite by the Pit. You all know the one that Pete called the 60 year old woman a bitch. So Hillary, what do you think? If we don't decide soon this could go on forever. Just my 2 cents.

Zac, your suggestion sounds good. Oct 7-9. 1) Ford lived and will climb with us again! But I guess he won't be going into town? 2) Flag it is (not that SoAZ wouldn't be rad for me, but Flag is super-user friendly, has everything and the everything is better than anywhere else in the state) 3) If the group gets really big we may want to move off into free, open forest service camping. But tentatively, we'll set up shop at the Pit.

In reply to: In reply to: Sport (people like Jay and Art) Zac I am not a Spurt climber I am a Boulderer. Who just happens to send both Sport and Trad routes harder than you can lead. p.s. how dare you lump me in with a mephistopholean internet flamer like Jay Ya, Ya, if I was 89 pounds I'd climb that hard too.Weight to climbing ability ratio puts me up there with you. Try straping on 140 pounds worth of sand bags and see how you climb. With all that said... I surf better 8^) Look at you, you want to kiss me right now, I'm so money.

It's not my fault you're a lard ass. Here's a thought.......I suck at climbing but you suck more than I.

ART! What's up, ya lil bastard? You better be there for this event. I haven't harrasse...errr, seen you at all this year. I know a couple of areas just down 89A toward the Overlook that would be great for group camping. It's the same place I proposed last year, but this go-around it may be our best bet. What happened to the lagality of camping in the place we were last year? Reno, did jackass tell you why it was off-limits? Ed

Heh. Ike is like, 5'8 (without the fro). Ed, we can raise hell and howl at the moon at this other place? I'd just assume not rankle (or pay) any campground hosts. Bring your puppy! If Kole is lurking in this thread- AND I KNOW YOU ARE! - best come out and commit yourself to this meeting of the minds!

In reply to: Reno, did jackass tell you why it was off-limits? Apparently all the campfire smoke and noise funnel through the canyon and directly into a residential area. Noise wasn't the primary concenr, according to the ranger, but fire was: If a fire got out of control in Fay Canyon, it'd hit residential areas faster than the Fire Fighter people could respond. That's the reason given... don't know if I buy it, but it ain't up to me, so what I think doesn't matter. All I know is that I paid $75 in fines for one night of camp.

Wow Ike. You're that tall? I guess standing next to Alex and crouching under limestone roofs takes away from that. I'm 5'3 with a -2. And I'm really weak too, dammit. Bob has a 8MP SLR? NO FAIR!!!!! I guess you'll just be taking lots of killer shots. The Forks is made for that kinda thing, if you'll ever go back ;) Make Kelly come along!
