Having grown up in the midwest (Indiana,) I can even assert that they (PA, MN, WI) don't even have much in the way of rock. The rock that DOES exist is usually picked up and moved, lest the plow run over it and dull the blade. I'm in for Hallets Peak.... "Better Than Love" or the "Culp Bossier" route both look enticing... sexy, even. Not as sexy as our female contingent, though... (Skibabeage... you're gonna wear something slinky, right?) ;) East Colfax Barbie?? You can leave that one at home, thanks...

In reply to: I suggest we use a giant blow-up of the above picture. A possible caption: Unable to make the drive to Las Vegas for the weekend, Scott sends his own Leadville version of the Red Rocks classic, "Sour Mash". Resting up from the extended red point effort, Scott contemplates his next project, "Dream of Wild Turkey(s)".

Ohhhhhh Boooooyyy! I have a decision to make now. I got a very nive invite to go to Indian Creek this weekend. I'm torn now. I haven't been to the creek yet and I think I have potential to be a crack monster! But you guys were also very kind to me and I really, really enjoyed sleeping in a room with 15 or so snoring, farting men. Ahhhhhhh! I had no idea that there was a ladies room to sleep in. And I especially enjoyed beating and spanking you all and barfing in Geo's neighbors yard and climbing with you guys and eating pancakes with you guys. Hmmmmm. . .let me think about this one... Never mind. I'm probably in. I wanna do some alpine though.

In reply to: I really, really enjoyed sleeping in a room with 15 or so snoring, farting men. I had no idea that there was a ladies room to sleep in. Interesting. Of the 16 people in that room, I believe only one was so trashed from imbibing that she drove the porcelain bus in the neighbor's yard. Given this person's (ahem) condition, I find it difficult to believe she could differentiate her actions from those around her. As my dad always says, "Kinda like the pot callin' the kettle black." Did you ever think that some of the rest of us woke up in the middle of the night thinking, "What the ...? Oh, it's just Tracy."

"I got a very nive invite to go to Indian Creek this weekend." Just clarifying a typo here.... Is "nive" sposed to be "nice" or "naive"?

In reply to: --Flamer: Features articulated bulging bicepts and a hearty pull-string laugh. Warning: Highly flamable, keep away from wives, girlfriends, sisters. Holy Crap! A guy goes Climbing in the Black canyon for a few days and comes back to his own action figure!!! That's just too funny. But really I'm the kind'a guy you want to meet your sister's and Daughters!! Wives you can keep! looking forward to the Fraca's! josh

oh, flamer, i'm glad you're here ... i have a major announcement about the gathering. ahem ... i will be bringing the industrial-sized bag of [b:f792cbe2e5][size=24:f792cbe2e5]soy jerky[/size:f792cbe2e5][/b:f792cbe2e5] flamer left at my house following the leadville blowout! now, though i am fully aware many of you were, shall we say, [i:f792cbe2e5]less than pleased[/i:f792cbe2e5] with your first experience with this delicious, nutricious, and oh-so-wholesome snack ("it tastes like [b:f792cbe2e5]sh it[/b:f792cbe2e5]" and "my god, what is it? a bag full of [b:f792cbe2e5]DOG TURDS[/b:f792cbe2e5]!!??") ... i would remind you that [b:f792cbe2e5]many[/b:f792cbe2e5] things in this life -- british humor, sushi, and eating the stanky thang -- are acquired tastes.

Here is my suggestion for the soy jerky: 1. Dig hole. 2. put soy jerky in hole. 3. cover hole. 4. set fire to surrounding area. 5. run away.

In reply to: i will be bringing the industrial-sized bag of soy jerky flamer left at my house following the leadville blowout! A word of advice -- if the goal is to increase the participation in this event, I doubt that bringing the above mentioned veg-head rabbit turd-like things will accomplish this. I am relieved to know that I will be climbing in the land of Deliverance's "squeal like a pig" river while doctorates in scatology attempt to determine the origin of the deposits left on your dinner table.

/from an old Starkist tuna advertisement/ "Sorry, Charley. Starkist doesn't want tunas with good taste -- Starkist wants tunas that taste good."
In reply to: I liked the soy jerkey. A lot!!! Taste, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Probably why Geo is so enamored with the waddle of Tracy's hydrid dog-like furry animal thing.
