Well I guess after talking about it in chat a few times, I'm not thinking in terms of whether to go but rather where to stay. I guess that means I'll be there. There are a few people going that I've met before and if you are trying to decide whether to go or not, let me assure you it will be a good weekend. Bring on the bop-it and blue "coz weeeee're coming up". It seems like people are following a number of options on camping but Juliana mentioned everyone getting together for a barbeque one evening as a group thing. I thought that was an awesome idea so let's start developing it. I would suggest the first night after climbing which I think will be the Saturday. What is the guidebook situation? The last time I was in Rumney it was out of print.

Yeah, we were talking about trying to organize some sort of barbecue social gathering or something on Saturday night... I've no idea how that'll work, so feel free to contribute any ideas you have.

Not to be presumtuous, but if he has the room to let us all eat there, Jan's (jhwnewengland's) pad would be the best for a cookout. Kitchen, bathrooms, etc all add up to a better place than a campgroung if we want to all have one night of fun together. Just a thought.....what do you think Jan? -Don Diego- [ This Message was edited by: dondiego on 2002-08-20 16:25 ]

Quote:Are kids allowed? I'm a kid! As for stuff to bring, grill-ables, drinks, snacks, etc. would be great. I'm planning on heading over to the house after climbing Friday, so I expect to meet up with many of you beforehand at Rumney, but directions are to follow. Fawkes, at 4:20 I'll be lunging for the last hold on Peer Pressure or something. You can watch from behind a boulder, or wherever...

Which night would work best? I know several people aren't arriving until Friday night/Saturday morning. Also... who all's going to be climbing Friday? Not sure if I will be... we'll probably come up early Friday, and we've got people who are staying with us arriving mid-afternoon... but if there'll be quite a few people there Friday, I could probably come up Thursday night and get a few hours in on Friday... ooh, I'm getting excited thinking about it WHEEEEEEEEEE

Are Kids allowed? Aren't we all just a bunch of big kids? Poor Fawkes (good one Jan, He He!) The De La Vegas probably won't be there until sometime late fri morning or early fri afternoon and we are trying to bring Mitch with us. Anyone else need a ride that lives between NC and NH? -Don Diego-

I think tcollins and I are planning on coming up Friday evening. I'm not sure what time we'll get there, but since we're driving from Boston, it'll probably be kinda late (border traffic is TOTALLY insane on Fridays). Looking forward to meeting you all! -jj

I'll be leaving after work Friday afternoon. Assuming I make the drive in one push, it doesn't matter what time I get there because you'll all be making ZZZZZZZZeds except crazy who will be behind me somewhere. I'll see you at the crag Saturday morning; look for the guy with bop-it withdrawal symptoms. Hey queenie, watch that border crossing at 4:20 eh?
