Just an FYI. I started a new thread for carpooling and arrivals to try to keep them organized as we get closer. http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=15257&forum=51&0 edit for link [ This Message was edited by: tcollins on 2002-08-30 07:57 ]

Of course I want to be a jackass!!!!! Duh!!!! Mrs. De la Vega and I are going to be driving the family Jeepster past every major airport on the Eastern Seaboard to get from NC to NH so if the Ambermeister flies into any of those, we could be giving a ride the rest of the way. Also, regulations on flying have gotten so that pretty much only the person that will actually be flying can purchase and pick up their ticket so Amber needs to give those of us that will chip in a buck or 20 an address to send said monopoly money to. -Don Diego- /Still dancin/

Because i'm so clever at losing stuff i'll probably go with the e-ticket option .. american has direct flights to boston for ~$250, and the swa thing works about to be ~$225 .. i'll probably go with american so that i can leave from dallas, but wont check baggage since they *always* lose my sh*t .. let me check with the boss man about vacation and see if i can arrange care for the little one .. *sniff sniff* .. you guys are *entirely* to much .. i'll have to brush up on disco tech and bring some very flash clothes to dance in .. *said with her best donald duck impression* "disco disco duck, i want to be a disco duck" hehehe [ This Message was edited by: clymbr_chk on 2002-08-30 08:35 ]

I have gotten (real) prices for Austin, TX - Manchester, NH for as low as $200 round-trip, and as high as $350 round-trip. I'm guessing the actual price will be somewhere between $200 and $250 round-trip. If all those who are willing to donate money, would please send me a PM (so I can better/easier keep track of you) with how much (in addition to posting here, that's fine - so I can easier keep track of it. - d.

Are ya'll really going to beat each other with bread? I'm trying to convince my wife to go (she's new to climbing and a bit shy about it), but I think you've scared her off of it permanently. I'm beginning to wonder what I've stumbled into here a bit too! Anyway, I can give lifts out of Boston Thursday evening (I work in Cambridge M-Th) - but you're riding couch in Durham thursday night (and helping me convince Dawn to go!) if we do. I'll re-post the offer later in the new carpool thread. I can pick up anyone stuck in Manchester (Manch-Vegas!) too - though the Honda SUV want-to-be only rides four. Hey, I looked at nikegirl's Utah photos and still can't figure out "jackass". More hints please... I've gleaned shopping carts and booze from the thread (not a pretty combo to imagine)... but from the sounds of ya'll, I'm guessing there's much more to it.

LoL!! oh, oh . .and can i beat someone with bread if i make it out there .. i've already agreed to let dom tie my hands for a round of hacky .. hehehe .. no comments from the peanut gallery, and *no* photos from sweet ms t .. LOL !!! .. of course, none of it will be the same with my Mick .. [ This Message was edited by: clymbr_chk on 2002-08-30 10:00 ]

Hey, that's "Hillbilly" if'n your going to drop the "Digital" there mister! Since I'm one of them earth-lovin rednecks from the sticks, all the city-folk I work with down in Boston and New York call me the "Digital Hillbilly" or the "High Tech Redneck"... though if we're really going high-noon with the french-bread, I think I'll aspire to become known as the "Baguette Ninja". Oh, right, page 2. Duh. Found it. Yeah, my wife's right - ya'll are wicked crazy. Is it too late to back out?
