No, no. It's not pointing at ME... it's pointing at my friend here. Silly Dom.

Wait.... you can't see him too?

You know....my mother is starting to get worried that Juliana is being a bad influence on me and I turn 28 on Sunday. Who'd of guessed that?

so is there much multi-pitch in Rumney or is it mostly single? What are the gradings mostly based on? Crimps, runouts? overhang?

Krillan, there are a handful of routes up to 3
pitches (5.7 to 5.11) on the Main Cliff, and
a few 2-pitch 5.11-ish lines (Orangina is
terrific) on Orange Crush. Apart from these
Rumney is not the place to go for multipitch.
As I said in an earlier post, for a full-on
trad adventure (~8 pitches, any grade) drive
up I-93 a ways to Cannon.

Most Rumney routes are well-bolted. There are
slabbish easy routes around the Meadows,
Parking Lot Wall and 5.8 crag, but most of
the good stuff is steep. Orange Crush and
Waimea have most of the prestige, real-steep
sport routes. Smaller steeps include parts
of Monsters of the Id and the Darth Vader
Crag. Moderate steeps are at Bonsai.

Basically there's lots to choose. But on a
weekend expect the popular routes to draw
crowds.

T i just read your post on the Smith "gig" andwould like to inform you of something. I have search the route from Newark NJ to Rumney NH and nowere along it is there a Puke Junction or a Barf Ralph Hurl or anything else along those line.. SO get rid of all of it before we see each other or ill be right next to you and you dont want that. But we will have Inu to lick our sweaty brows and make us feel a bit better

Just over a month left...

Do we want to start getting down to the little details?

Who's going to be where when? Where do we want to meet/climb?

From what I gather, we'll meet at the crag on Saturday and then to go Jan's for a BBQ, and then we can probably figure other things out from there.

What about Friday? Who's going to be climbing?

*asks too many questions*

I plan on riding up with the Diegos as long as I can get the four day pass ok'd. I'll know for sure by the end of this week, pretty sure it won't be a problem.

Our "Clan" will be trying to make it in sometime Friday morning. The wife, Beldar, Rottenice, and yours truly will try to leave after work on thursday. If all goes well, we're going to try to get Mitch in PA and be in NH early on Fri. We'll see if it all works. Might be needing to take more cars now that there are more people.

Where is everyone going to meet on Friday and what time?? I'll be getting out of work around 4 PM and picking up my partner around 6. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Rumney, so where will everyone be? Getting closer ... maybe we sould start setting times and meeting places.

CAN'T WAIT!

I would really love it if one of you Rumneyites would just give the rest of us a place to meet you all at. I will be coming from the south via the family jeepster and I have no idea where I am going. Guide me please!

I think that myself, the family, Dom, and some other assorted people will be heading up to our place in Ashland some time Friday morning, and I believe Lew, T and Robert (did I miss anyone from that group?) are planning on arriving Friday afternoon...

So, Friday evening, maybe?

We could meet there 4:30 or 5-ish and still get in a couple hours of climbing (and get the kinks out of this whole assembling-our-group thing before we have thirty or forty people involved )

Hm. So. Friday, 4:30?
(just to get a date/time down)

Adjust the time at will.

So ... there are two groups? One is Jules group and the other is Jan's group. I have elected to stay at Jan's place, so I guess this is pointed to Jan.

Where and when my good man? We're ready!!
